iiNet targets business with low cost VoIP

The ISP claimed small businesses will benefit from the service which will lead to a drastic drop in the cost of communication services.

“This product is a great initiative which will allow small and medium businesses to benefit from the use of VoIP via reduced call costs, ease of set-up and free calls between iiNet VoIP users,” said general manager iiNet Business, Andy McIntyre.

Furthermore, it offers more efficient networking and access to a range of new applications which, until now, have only been available to large business, said McIntyre.

iiNet recently announced the formation of a dedicated business team focused on providing small businesses across Australia with products and services.

“The launch of multi-line VoIP will be followed by additional services aimed at the SME market including an easy way for businesses to share information between users via a secure online environment using Virtual Private Networking, plus SIP Trunking which will save time and money by combining traditional PABX services and new IP technology,” added McIntyre.

VoIP allows customers to make calls over their broadband service.
